Call for Participation

ACM SIGSOFT / FSE is one of the premier forums for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent ideas, innovations, trends, and experiences in the field of software engineering. The distinctive features of FSE are an emphasis on the foundations of the field, the relatively small scale of the event, and the intense intellectual engagement among participants.

Digital Engine Driving Social Creativity is the theme of FSE-18. It acknowledges the increasingly important role software plays in the life of our society through the technology that sustains it and through the social interactions software systems facilitate.

The Programmatic Agenda for FSE-18 is driven by the desire to complement research on the foundations of the field with the presentation of novel ideas in their formative stage. The former define the core program of the symposium while the latter shape an associated workshop on the future of software engineering research. The conference program will also include three exciting keynote talks, a software engineering education symposium, a doctoral symposium, research demonstrations, and more. The organizers are committed to a program that facilitates a fertile exchange of ideas and experiences likely to affect the professional life of each participant.

Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a location rich with the history of the Americas and one of the most visited places in the world. It is recognized as one of the major centers for arts, crafts, and culture. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking and inspiring. Georgia O'Keefe found a home here and native American culture flourished over centuries with ancient sites that are easy to explore.

Unprecedented Support from both industry and funding agencies made it possible to plan for a most memorable and intellectually exciting event.

Meeting Information is available on this web site, which has been designed to be a living document offering up-to-date news on all conference events, submission instructions and deadlines, hotel information, registration, tourist information, travel, etc.
